PTFE and Fluoropolymers

F10PTFE is a fluoropolymer normally considered a thermoplastic material but with chemical and physical characteristics that require specific machining techniques. Our manufacturer uses modern plants and mechanical machines (extruders, presses, ovens with controlled sintering cycles) to supply finished and semi-finished products (tubes, rods, sheets, tape, etc.).

INEJECTION MOULDING
Within our molding department, we manufacture technical items for industrial applications with the latest generation injection presses. Molds are designed and built internally, to meet the specific needs of our customers and guarantee the quality of the products during their life cycle.

CNC MACHINING
A modern CNC machining department (lathes and multi-axis cutters) allow our network to finish our pieces by mechanical machining, to obtain shapes and tolerances that injection molding does not allow.

3D PRINTING
Through innovative 3D printers, that guarantee finished parts with an extreme accuracy (around 0.025 mm), we manufacture technical components in various standard and High Performance Polymers. Prototypes and small series are manufactured in less time, there is no need to manufacture molds with a consequent reduction of costs.

FILLED F10PTFE
To improve the already exceptional characteristics, especially when used in high-stress applications, F10PTFE is modified with the addition of different fillers, including: glass fiber, graphite, ceramic, nickel, stainless steel, bronze, MoS2, polyimide, etc., which improve certain mechanical characteristics, such as compressive strength and thermal conductivity, or reduce the tendency to creep under load. This means we can manufacture parts that allow considerable improvements both in design and in operation (e.g., piston rings and guide shoes for compressors).

PFA
(perfluoroalkoxy), thermoplastic material with exceptional characteristics similar to those of PTFE. It can be processed by injection and transfer molding. We use PFA to produce technical components and coat chemical equipment on a specially designed and constructed system.

FEP
A copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene. It has characteristics similar to those of PFA and is also transformed on injection and transfer presses.

PVDF
(polyvinylidene (di)fluoride). We produce a wide range of semi-finished products (tubes, rods, sheets, etc.) by extrusion and transfer molding. Through injection molding technical components even of considerable size can be manufactured.

ETFE
(ethylene tetrafluoroethylene copolymer). Thermoplastic material such as PFA, but with lower thermal and chemical resistance. Its mechanical characteristics, especially hardness and abrasion resistance, are instead considerably higher than those of the above-mentioned materials. Tefzel® is mainly used in the electrotechnical and electromechanical industries. Due to its resistance to abrasion, it is also used in coatings for valves and fittings with high chemical and mechanical characteristics.

PCTFE
(polychlorotrifluoroethylene homopolymer). Used with increasing frequency, particularly in cryogenics, it is matched by our commitment to produce an increasingly broad range of semi-finished and finished products. In fact, the particular machining cycles to produce plates, rods, rings and sleeves require the use of specially designed and manufactured equipment and machinery.

ETCHED PTFE
Our manufacturer has a modern PTFE etching plant that complies with the strictest regulations in force on environmental protection. Once etched, PTFE products are ready for bonding.
